Thomas Poon
Thomas Poon is a professor of chemistry at W. M. Keck Science Department and is a faculty member of Pitzer College in Claremont, California. He currently is serving a one year term as the Acting President of Pitzer College. He previously served as the Acting President of Pitzer College during the Fall 2014 semester, while then-President Laura Skandera Trombley fulfilled a semester-long sabbatical. He formerly was the Senior Associate Dean at Pitzer College, a position in which he worked to address a number of campus issues.

In January 2014, Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley announced she had tapped Poon to serve as Acting President during a leave of absence she would be taking in the fall. Poon assumed the role of Acting President in September 2014.
He has previously travelled abroad on behalf of Pitzer College. He visited to Peking University in China to meet with university officials.
